Move and Groove

    Move and Groove is a sensory-motor group using movement and music to target the following skills: 

    • Gross motor skills (Body awareness, co-ordination, motor planning)
    • Sensory regulation (feeling calm, concentrating, modulating energy levels)
    • Following a routine (participating in activities, waiting, turn taking)
    • Separation (separating from caregiver in a safe space, if this is a goal for your family)
    • Parent education (Ideas for songs/dances, motor games and explanation of sensory-motor concepts).

    The group format is typically one one-hour session per week for eight weeks.

    Parents will be required join in with their child as part of the learning process.

    Eligibility:

    • RCH ECIS will accept NDIS and private paying families. Please note we have no capacity for families to claim through Medicare or their private health insurance.
